Where should I stay?

Approx 18 miles from the south east shoreline of Lake Balaton and around 1 ¼ hrs drive from Budapest airport using the M7 motorway, Deg is ideally situated as a base to explore the various tourist destinations as well as enjoy the country life and the great outdoors

The recently modernised 2 bedroom summer house is situated in a half acre plot that forms part of the 25 hectare protected park approx 300m from Festetics Castle.

With well established trees to the rear and open fields to the rear the property has fantastic views down to a most beautiful fishing lake.

The Garden :-

is private and enjoys sunshine from morning through to sunset. With a BBQ and garden furniture for relaxing, guests can chill to their heart's content. Alternatively you can wander through the many paths that traverse the castle grounds and see an abundance of wild life - deer, wild birds and hogs The area is ideal cycling country with free use of the bikes on hand.

The village of Deg has several supermarkets, a restaurant, a pub, doctors, dentists, pharmacy, a weekly market, Internet café, library and is well serviced by buses
